Cosmic: Music Player is designed as a local, offline music player for Android devices. We believe in transparency and want you to understand exactly what data our App accesses and why.

Third-Party Services
When you use certain optional features, the App may communicate with the following third-party services:
1. Lyrics Service (Lrclib)
- When Used: When you request synced lyrics for a song
- Data Sent: Song title, artist name, album name, and song duration
- Purpose: To find and display matching lyrics
- Privacy: We send only the minimum information needed to match lyrics. No personal data is transmitted.
2. Artist Images (Last.fm/MusicBrainz)
- When Used: When auto-downloading artist images is enabled
- Data Sent: Artist name
- Purpose: To fetch and display artist photographs
- Privacy: Only artist names are transmitted. No personal data is collected.

Data Storage and Security
Local Storage Only
All your data is stored locally on your device:
- Music library metadata
- Playlists and favorites
- App settings and preferences
- Downloaded songs and lyrics
- Equalizer settings
No Cloud Sync
We do not offer cloud synchronization. Your data never leaves your device unless you explicitly:
- Share a song using Android’s share feature
- Export a playlist file
- Use internet-dependent features (lyrics, downloads)
Data Deletion
Since all data is stored locally on your device:
- Uninstalling the App removes all App-related data
- You can clear App data anytime via Android Settings
- Downloaded music files remain in your device storage until you delete them
Children’s Privacy
Cosmic: Music Player is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect any personal information from children. Since our App does not collect personal information from any users, this applies to all age groups equally.

Your Rights and Choices
You have full control over your data:
- Deny Permissions: You can deny any permission, though core features require audio access.
- Disable Internet Features: Use the App completely offline by disabling internet access for the App in Android Settings.
- Clear Data: Clear all App data anytime via Android Settings > Apps > Cosmic: Music Player > Clear Data.
- Uninstall: Remove the App and all associated data at any time.
- Blacklist Folders: Hide specific folders from your music library within the App.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected by updating the “Last Updated” date at the top of this document. We encourage you to review this Privacy Policy periodically.
